DIMUN XV
CONFERENCE ADJOURNED
Thank you for coming!
Esteemed delegates, directors, student officers, and guests,
It is with great anticipation that we, the Secretariat of DIMUN XV, extend a formal invitation to your school to join us for the Fifteenth Plenary Session of DIMUN on March 7-9, 2025 at Dulwich College Beijing.
This year, our theme, “The Anthropocene,” speaks to a defining epoch in Earth’s history in which the impact of humanity has shaped, and continues to shape, the trajectory of our planet's future. The Anthropocene reflects a world where natural systems are increasingly intertwined with human actions, where the effects of human actions are increasingly inescapable. This does not mean, however, that the impacts of mankind’s expansion are irreversible - indeed, it’s the opposite. We hold in our collective grasp the key to changing everything if we so wish. Just as our environments and ecosystems have yielded under pressure, we as stewards of the planet have the power to impact governance, economics, warfare, culture, technology, and every other domain of human life. In this era, human agency is both the problem and the solution.
With this in mind, we urge delegates to confront the pivotal role we play in shaping the future. This year at DIMUN, we have made our committee offerings more varied than ever, with 10 committees (5 of which are new to our conference!). More information on committees and the conference in general can be found in the attachment. Should you have any more questions, do not hesitate to email or contact a member of our secretariat.

We look forward to seeing you in March!

XIV CLOSING
MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDERS

Honourable Directors, Distinguished Chairs, and most of all Esteemed Delegates, The Dulwich International Model United Nations (DIMUN) conference was created to bring MUN to students often considered too young to fully understand, appreciate, and participate in the complexities of politics, debates, and problem-solving. When we came up with the idea for DIMUN, at around sixteen years old, we had already attended several Model UN conferences around the Asia Pacific and knew that this perception was completely wrong.
DIMUN was therefore founded to provide opportunities for students to experience Model UN in an academically rigorous but supportive environment, with the guidance that new delegates and directors deserve. At the heart of the DIMUN experience is the belief that MUN should be by and for students, and that with open minds, curiosity, and creativity, students are willing and able to rise to every challenge.
