United Nations Commission on Science & Tech
Distinguished delegates,
Welcome to DIMUN XVI! My name is Crystal Ra, a Junior attending the International School of Tianjin. I am honored to serve as your chair in UNCoST for this year’s conference. I bring to this role a wealth of passion, commitment, and hands-on experience.

I know what it feels like to be nervous at your first conference—those moments when your heart races before your first speech or when you question if your ideas are good enough. That’s why I’m here to ensure that every delegate, whether seasoned or completely new, feels supported, encouraged, and ready to contribute.

Remember that your contributions, no matter how large or little, have the ability to inspire others and spark meaningful debates. Let us work together to ensure that this conference is not only successful but also entertaining and memorable for everyone engaged.

I'm excited to see your enthusiasm and creativity in action!!

Hello delegates!

My name is Isabelle, and I am a junior at Dulwich College Beijing. It is my honor to serve as the Deputy President for UNCoST at DIMUN XVI. This is my third year in MUN and my first time chairing.

For this conference, I will be focusing on the "Question of the Rules Governing Medical Patents", a topic that challenges us to balance innovation with global access to life-saving treatments. I look forward to hearing thoughtful debate and seeing creative yet realistic solutions.

I hope we can build a supportive environment where we learn from one another and walk away with unforgettable memories, just as I have from past conferences. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

See you all in February!
Deputy
President
