Hello delegates,
My name is Vanessa Chen, and I’m currently a Year 11 student attending Dulwich College Beijing (DCB). I’m honored to serve as the President of the Human Rights Council for DIMUN XVI, which will be my eighth conference and my third as a student officer. Coincidentally, my MUN journey began with me participating in DIMUN XIV two years ago, and it was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. MUN is a continuous experience that further broadens my understanding of the current geopolitical climate, as well as honing my debate and public speaking skills. For this conference, I’ll be working on the question of “Safeguarding the rights of women in Afghanistan”. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at vanessa.zychen@gmail.com.
I look forward to welcoming you all and being able to facilitate a memorable conference here at DCB. See you all in February!

Distinguished delegates, welcome to DIMUN XVI.

My name is Franzi Müller, and I’m a Year 13 student at the British School of Beijing Shunyi. I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve as Deputy President of the HRC.

Let us create an atmosphere of respect, collaboration, and thoughtful debate where every voice is heard.
Please don’t be nervous to show your ability be it through POI‘s , speeches or amendments. Every contribute you give will be seen. No matter if it’s your first MUN or your fifth, I hope DIMUN XVI becomes a meaningful part of your journey.

I look forward to see you all at DIMUN XVI.

Good luck everyone!
Deputy
President
