Disarmament
Commission
2. Question of the regulation of cluster weapons
Greetings,
My name is JaeHyun Cha, and I am currently a sophomore attending Tianjin International School. It is my distinct honor to serve as the President of the Disarmament Commission in DIMUN XVI, marking my 8th conference and 4th as a chair.
Model United Nations is a unique platform allowing students to express their passions in public speaking, debating, and solving global issues. Over the course of my MUN journey, it transformed me from an inexperienced delegate hesitating to raise his placard to an ardent delegate confidently expressing his opinions. Having experienced the transformative power that MUN holds, I strongly encourage all delegates to actively participate in the sessions to develop their public speaking, debating, and problem-solving skills.
In the Disarmament Commission, we collaborate to confront the most pressing issues threatening international peace and security, primarily focusing on the regulations of autonomous and cluster weapons.
As your President chair, I will put forth my best effort to create a comfortable environment where all ideas can be heard and valued.
See you soon.
President
Jaehyun Cha

Hi delegates!
My name is Artemis, a sophomore attending the International School of Beijing. DIMUN XIII marks my eighth time chairing and sixteenth conference. It is my most esteemed honor to serve as the deputy president for Disarmament Committee for DIMUN this year!
Thinking back to my first conference, DIMUN XIII as a shy seventh grader, I realize that this activity has offered me far more than the ability to debate. It has enriched my understanding about pressing issues, gained my confidence, and, most importantly, provided me the opportunity to forge many many meaningful connections with others. And hereby, I sincerely hope each of you will have similar experiences at this year’s DIMUN.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Feb ♡
