First General Assembly
Hello delegates!
I am Na Ye Kim, a junior attending the International School of Tianjin. It is my utmost honor to serve you as the President of the General Assembly I in DIMUN XVI.
Thinking back on my first MUN conference, I am familiar with the excitement and nerves you will experience during the conference. Nevertheless, through myriads of experiences, I was able to gradually adapt to the system and became confident in walking up to the podium and displaying diplomacy. Therefore, I hope to leverage my experience and knowledge to support your success as delegates.
As we embark on the start of this journey, I encourage all delegates to step out of their comfort zones and expand their perspectives on global affairs through fruitful debates in General Assembly I.
I look forward to creating a memorable conference together. See you all in February!
President
Na Ye Kim

Greetings, I'm Jamie Zhang, a freshman currently attending the International School of Beijing. I am honored to serve as your deputy chair of GA1 at DIMUN. This is my third year in Model United Nations, marking my twentieth conference and my fifth time serving as chair.

The topic I will be focusing on is “Question of updating the four Geneva Conventions adopted by the UN in 1949,” a crucial issue that affects the humane treatment of people during armed conflicts.
Although speaking in front of dozens of delegates can be a struggle, it is a skill that can always benefit you and make you look more professional.
So please be confident whenever you have an idea or something to share.
Additionally, please don't worry about the conference; I will also be available to assist you during the conference as much as possible. Additionally, please don't hesitate to contact me if you encounter any issues preparing for the conference. (My email: jamie.zhang@student.isb.cn or jamiezhang576@gmail.com)
Finally, I hope all delegates can enjoy this conference and also learn from it. See you all in February!
