2. Question of updating the four Geneva Conventions adopted by the UN in 1949

Honorable Directors, fellow Student Officers, and most distinguished delegates,

My name is Weeco Wang a G11 student at Beijing No.4 High School International Division, I am excited to serve as the President of the Third General Assembly (GA3) at DIMUN XVI.

First, the surprising thing to share is that I started my journey in MUN at the beginning of 10th grade, fairly recent, right? But through the different committees and conferences, I've learnt that passion and time are far and away more important than longevity. My personal growth has proven to me that MUN does provide an excellent platform for any student to find their voice in the world. My goal as your President is to make sure that we provide an inclusive and enthusiastic space for every delegate to debate seriously and work on solutions collaboratively. It is important to me that our debates are substantive and respectful and allow for the type of diplomacy that creates change and action points.

I look forward to helping make this conference productive and memorable for everyone.

Hello delegates!

My name is Frank Su, a freshman from the International School of Beijing, and I am honored to be serving as the Deputy President of General Assembly 3 at this year’s DIMUN. This will mark my tenth conference and third time chairing.

A large part of my academic life has been shaped by MUN, which has given me the opportunity to collaborate with bright minds from around the world and to tackle nuanced global issues through debate. Whether you are a seasoned delegate at your tenth conference or a newcomer beginning your MUN journey, I hope that in my role as your deputy,
